25 Days of Christmas

Last year I wanted to do 25 days of Christmas to build up the excitement for Luke. It didn't happen... So this year I was determined to start planning ahead of time to come up with 25 Christmas activities or small gifts for them to do/open each day leading up to Christmas.

They have loved it! I didn't have 25 things listed when I started so some days I had to just make something up! haha Here were their 25 days of Christmas.

Day 1: Setting up the boys' Christmas tree
 Day 2: Merry Madagascar movie
Day 3: Setting up the felt Christmas tree and ornaments.... and Parker being the Grinch...
Day 4: Hide and seek with snowflakes
 Day 5: Christmas book #1
 Day 6: Marshmallow Snowman
 Day 7: Christmas book #2
Day 8: Starbucks date with Mommy
 Day 9: Magnet puzzle
Day 10: Christmas plates
Day 11: Pacman bandaids (they had no clue what Pac-man was but oh well!)
Day 12: Christmas Pez dispensers
 Day 13: painting wreaths
Day 14: Christmas lights in pjs
Day 15: basketball game with Daddy
 Day 16: Christmas book #3
Day 17: making Christmas cookies

Day 18: decorating Christmas cookies
 Day 19: new pjs
Day 20: Our family Christmas
(I'll have to upload a picture from my camera)
Day 21: fun with cousins

Day 22: Mitchell family nativity (Luke was a wise man)
Day 23: movie night with Mams and Pops
Day 24: Christmas Eve pjs (Parker was still getting over the flu!)
Day 25: (didn't get a picture) taking goodies to people who have to work on Christmas Day (firemen, hospital, police station, etc.) This has been a family tradition of ours and the Hinsons for about 5 years now. Parker and I stayed home because it was cold and rainy, but we want our boys to know that Christmas is about giving to others. God gave us his son Jesus to us as the biggest gift we could ever receive. And we're trying to make sure they have every opportunity to see us be Jesus to others.
