Taylor Christmas (Part 2)

The weekend after Christmas, we had Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. My cousin's high school basketball team was playing in a tournament that weekend in Waco. My other two cousins drove to Palestine to hang out with us. We all wanted to see Sophie play and decided that her game Friday night would be the best one to go and watch. My dad rented a 15 passenger van and we all loaded up to go to Waco!

Toastie (a freshman on a varsity team) killed it! It was her highest scoring game and we couldn't have been more proud. We were quite loud too... glad to see we didn't mess her up! :)

We all got back home around 11 pm and Luke didn't sleep at all on the way back! Ugh! The next morning Grandaddy cooked an amazing breakfast, as usual, and then we opened gifts before Sophie had to be back in Waco.

My aunt got the boys super hero capes and masks and they loved them!

Poor Jacob (aka Ketchup) always gets the most.... creative presents! :)
An expired package of yeast, pencils, lanyard with a custom tag and a $1 wrapped around a package of crackers...

Chocolates for G-daddy!

Wine for Aunt Terri because... well... look at him! :)

 Aunt May getting some snuggles.

Showing Grandaddy and Meme that he knows his body parts!

 Talkin dinosaurs

Sleep time with Uncle Jake!

We had a great time with all of our family and friends we got to see over Christmas! We left Palestine Sunday morning and met up with part of the Matthews crew (no pictures, again! ugh) for lunch in Dallas on our way back to Abilene.

After 9 long days away we were so happy to be back in our own beds!

Taylor Christmas (Part 1)

We got to Palestine on Sunday afternoon. I had lunch with a few of my high school girlfriends on Christmas Eve.

That night we went to the Christmas Eve service at my parents' church. Parker was still in some kind of mood so Jonathan stayed home with him while the rest of us went. Luke still doesn't know how to be quiet during the service so we hung out in the hallway... he's quite the ham!

That night we baked goodies for our Christmas morning tradition (I say we loosely as Mom was baking and Jacob, Bekah and I provided the late night entertainment). And we may have watched Pitch Perfect too many times....
The next morning everything was packaged up and everybody (except me and Parker) met up with the Hinsons to take goodie baskets around town to the people who had to work on Christmas morning. They went to the hospital, police station, fire station and prison. I love that our kids get to be apart of this now!

Everybody came back to the house and we all had breakfast before opening gifts.

After we finished opening up presents my Granny and Aunt Dee and Uncle Randy came over to have Christmas dinner with us. They spoiled the boys too! :)

Luke ADORES his Uncle Randy!

Later that week we had another Christmas with my dad's side of the family. That will have to be a Part 2!
